Natalie Merchant rocked!
This concert was a killer. Her voice and range, as powerful as ever, covered mostly 10,000 Maniac-era songs during an 8 or 9 song encore that lasted more than 2:45. She danced, sang, and interacted with her audience, proving she is a great entertainer and songwriter. The acoustics at Maryhill are exceptional with her band being terrific. A significant portion of the set list was from her new album "Leave Your Sleep," with sprinkled songs from Tiger Lily, Ophelia, and Motherland. I go to a lot of concerts, and this is easily the best one I've been to this year, worth the 4-hour drive to get there.
